AS we all know, AIDS is killing a lot of adults and children in the world every year.

It is considered to be one of the most serious social problems today, let’s have a close look at it today.

Step 1. before reading

A. Show some pictures of AIDS patients and give some explanation.

Ask Ss to use some words describing the sufferers.( miserable, defenceless, helpless, pitiful….)

Question : Are you afraid of AIDS?

Are you willing to make friends with AIDS?

Step 5 Summary ( Teacher)

Thank you for everybody’s attention of AIDS. I think it very sinificant for us to talk about it here today, since tommorrow is the WORLD AIDS DAY. In this unit we learn so many things. We learn that AIDS is not as fritening as we thought it be. We learn that that how we protect ourselves from AIDS. We learn that AIDS patients are normal beings. And what is the most important I think, is that we should learn to treat AIDS patients properly. That’s all for today.

本課課型為閱讀課,是本單元第二課時(shí)。中心話(huà)題是愛(ài)滋病。在第一課時(shí),學(xué)生已對愛(ài)滋病常識有初步的了解,為第二課時(shí)做了鋪墊。

我為本課共設計了5個(gè)步驟。第一步,讀前部分設計了預想,猜測課文可能會(huì )回答的問(wèn)題。它旨在引導學(xué)生能夠根據主題來(lái)判斷文章可能闡述的內容,幫助學(xué)生理解文章的描述必須圍繞主題進(jìn)行。第二步,介紹愛(ài)滋病是怎么一回事、愛(ài)滋病的傳播途徑以及目前世界上青少年患愛(ài)滋病的情況,讓學(xué)生對當今世界愛(ài)滋病的現狀有一個(gè)更深入的了解。第三步,圍繞課文敘述的內容提出6個(gè)問(wèn)題,幫助學(xué)生在原有文章的基礎上,進(jìn)一步打開(kāi)思路,以此培養學(xué)生分析主題、圍繞主題闡述問(wèn)題的能力。第四步,設置了與當前愛(ài)滋病局勢有所關(guān)聯(lián)的四個(gè)角色(政府官員、醫生、患者周?chē)娜艘约盎颊弑救耍寣W(xué)生通過(guò)對角色的扮演,懂得設身處地地為他人著(zhù)想,傾聽(tīng)愛(ài)滋病人的心聲,并最終轉化為對愛(ài)滋病人的同情和關(guān)注,高度升華了本課的主題。最后,由教師進(jìn)行總結,幫助學(xué)生完整地梳理課堂內容,讓學(xué)生對課堂教學(xué)的內容有一個(gè)回顧,并最終真正掌握理解課程內容。教師以“Are you afraid of AIDS? Are you willing to make friends with AIDS patients?”兩個(gè)問(wèn)題貫穿整個(gè)課堂教學(xué),讓學(xué)生通過(guò)課堂教學(xué),產(chǎn)生由課前畏懼到課后理解并同情的態(tài)度轉變,取得知識教育與道德教育的雙重成功。

對于課文的深度閱讀,設計了以下教學(xué)活動(dòng):第一,歸納段落主題。以快速閱讀的形式讓學(xué)生初步了解課文,并歸納每段的主要內容;第二,進(jìn)一步疏通課文,捕捉細節,解說(shuō)文中的關(guān)鍵詞匯;第三,關(guān)注文章的語(yǔ)言。根據本單元的語(yǔ)法重點(diǎn)“虛擬語(yǔ)氣”,讓學(xué)生通過(guò)閱讀課文,找出含有虛擬語(yǔ)氣結構的句子,使學(xué)生能更好地理解和學(xué)習語(yǔ)言。在學(xué)生了解了該語(yǔ)法點(diǎn)之后,通過(guò)“角色扮演”的活動(dòng),讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步了解虛擬語(yǔ)氣的用法,并懂得如何在特定語(yǔ)境下應用,以此達到課堂教學(xué)的關(guān)鍵目的。

對于課堂上安排的討論活動(dòng),既有個(gè)人的理解,也有小組討論、補充交流的環(huán)節。為了能夠扮演好角色,學(xué)生需要在小組交流中對所需要應用的語(yǔ)法“虛擬語(yǔ)氣”進(jìn)行了解、加深印象,進(jìn)一步討論如何自我表達。教師只是組織了活動(dòng),課堂活動(dòng)的真正主體應是學(xué)生。活動(dòng)的真正目的在于讓學(xué)生鍛煉英語(yǔ)表達能力,并加強對語(yǔ)法現象的理解。只有讓學(xué)生真正地融入到場(chǎng)景環(huán)境中去,學(xué)生才能夠真正地了解掌握本課的精要。
