一、教材內容分析
新課改要求英語(yǔ)課教學(xué)應以學(xué)生為主體,以訓練為主線(xiàn),以能力培養為宗旨.學(xué)生是學(xué)習活動(dòng)的主人,教師是學(xué)習活動(dòng)的組織者和引導者.教師要努力創(chuàng )設多種多樣的方式和機會(huì )讓學(xué)生通過(guò)自主合作,探究等學(xué)習方式進(jìn)行學(xué)習,注重教與學(xué)的互動(dòng)性和生生互動(dòng).
1、教材分析
本節課的教學(xué)內容是Go for it八年級上冊Unit9 When was he born? 本單元.主要語(yǔ)言功能項目是談?wù)撟约撼绨莸拿艘约懊说穆殬I(yè)生涯.以人物簡(jiǎn)歷為線(xiàn)索展開(kāi)語(yǔ)言交際和語(yǔ)言實(shí)踐活動(dòng)。Section B的第一課時(shí),在掌握Section A部分內容的基礎上學(xué)會(huì )使用描述性形容詞 talented, outstanding , unusual, creative…etc來(lái)描述自己崇拜的人以及名人。并通過(guò)聽(tīng)力練習的訓練,學(xué)生可以了解成功人士的生活及成長(cháng)經(jīng)歷,并且能夠熟練的使用英文介紹名人及成功人士的職業(yè)生涯。
2、學(xué)情分析
通過(guò)對本單元Section A的學(xué)習,同學(xué)們對學(xué)習本節課的新知識奠定了認知基礎.他們熱愛(ài)并崇拜喬丹,鄧亞萍,貝克漢姆,姚明等名人。對他們的人生歷程充滿(mǎn)好奇.因此在教學(xué)中,教師可充分利用學(xué)生這一心理特點(diǎn),利用他們已有的知識,引導學(xué)生深入探究,自主地解決問(wèn)題。
二、教學(xué)目標
1. 語(yǔ)言技能目標
(1) 能對別人的身份進(jìn)行問(wèn)答:Who’s this/that? She is Den Ya ping. She is a great Chinese ping-pong player. Who do you admire? I admire Michael Jordan.
Why do you admire him/her? Because he/she is a famous/ an outstanding basketball player.
(2) 能對別人的出生年月進(jìn)行問(wèn)答,如:When was he/she born?
He/She was born in/on…
(3) 能對別人的經(jīng)歷進(jìn)行詢(xún)問(wèn),如:When did he/she start playing ping-pong/basketball?
How long did he/she play ping-pong/basketball?
2. 語(yǔ)言知識目標
(1) 詞匯:
(2) 句型Who do you admire?
I admire Den Yaping/....
Why do you admire her/him?
Because she/he is a famous/an outstanding …player.
Who is that?
That’s Zhang Yiling. She is a great ping-pong player.
When was she born?
When did she start/stop…?
How long did she start…?
(3) 掌握由Who/ Why /when 引導的狀語(yǔ)從句和由how long/when 引導的特殊疑問(wèn)句.
3、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)
根據本節課的教學(xué)內容和學(xué)生對知識的理解程度,結合教學(xué)目標,確定重點(diǎn):
1、Who’s this/that? Who do you admire?Why do you admire him/her? When was he/she born? When did he/she start…? How long did he/she…? 難點(diǎn)為重點(diǎn)句型的實(shí)際運用及when引導的狀語(yǔ)從句和特殊疑問(wèn)句.
2.能聽(tīng)懂錄音中的語(yǔ)言材料并利用錄音材料講述名人故事。
三、教學(xué)過(guò)程
按照上面的教學(xué)思路,結合中學(xué)英語(yǔ)的教學(xué)特點(diǎn),我們倡導構建任務(wù)式的學(xué)習,努力運用學(xué)生的主動(dòng)參與,感知體驗,探究發(fā)現,交流合作的學(xué)習方式,讓學(xué)生在語(yǔ)言實(shí)際運用中感受成功的喜悅,使課堂真正形成“樂(lè )說(shuō)、會(huì )說(shuō)、能交際”的氛圍。本節課教學(xué)設計分以下五個(gè)環(huán)節:
Step 1:Preparation : (Warming-up and revision) (8 minutes)
1. Greetings and sing an English song.
2. A guessing game (Get the students to review how to describe some famous people )
T: The whole class , please. She is Chinese .She plays table tennis very well. She is short .She was born in 1973.She is very great and famous . Do you know who she is?
S:Is she Den Ya ping ?
T: Yes, you are right. When did Deng Yaping start playing ping-pong?
S: She started playing ping-pong in 1978.
T:When did she stop playing ping-pong?
S:She stopped in 1997.
T:How long did she play ping-pong?
S:She played for 19 years.
T: Yes, great. Now please try to describe the famous persons .
3. Teacher can have a few Ss describe some famous persons and let other Ss guess who he/she is .

Step 2 Presentation (10 minutes)
This activity introduces the difficult points. Teacher can Use flashcards to present the next:
1. A: Who’s that?
B: that’s Zhang Yining .
A: When did Zhang Yining start playing ping-pong?
B:She started playing ping-pong in 1986.
A:When did she stop playing ping-pong?
B:She stopped in 2009.
A:How long did she play ping-pong?
B:She played for 23 years.
1)Ask the students to practice the sample conversation, then make up similar conversations.
2) Ask several pairs of students to perform their conversations.
【設計說(shuō)明:此環(huán)節也通過(guò)多媒體的輔助,呈現給學(xué)生更多的語(yǔ)言練習素材,突出本節課的教學(xué)目標,并設定一個(gè)情景進(jìn)行對話(huà),使學(xué)生融于真實(shí)的交際環(huán)境中,給學(xué)生利用目標語(yǔ)言表達交流的機會(huì ),在學(xué)中用,在用中學(xué)。復習、鞏固、加深SectionA中所學(xué)知識,達到學(xué)以致用之目的。】
3. Teacher continue talking about Zhang Yining and ask:
(1) A: Do you admire Zhang Yining?
B: Yes, I do.
A: Why do you admire her?
B: Because she is a great and famous Chinese ping-pong player .She is also a talented player. So I admire her.
A:And except Zhang Yining who else you admire
B: Michael Jordan.
A: Why?
B:Because he is an outgoing and talented basketball player. He is very famous in the world. He is talented in basketball.
A: What else do you know about him?
B:I know he was born in America in 1963.
(2) Get the Ss to talk about other famous persons in pairs and then have some pairs perform their conversations.
(3)Then choose some individuals to introduce some famous persons he/she knows.
【設計說(shuō)明:通過(guò)師生問(wèn)答式的交流,既能對SectionA 中內容進(jìn)行復習與鞏固。鍛煉語(yǔ)言思維,提高語(yǔ)言表達流暢度。實(shí)際上SectionB中的內容就是對SectionA中知識的延伸于拓展,讓學(xué)生在實(shí)際的語(yǔ)言操練中,不僅學(xué)會(huì )使用描述性的形容詞,而且會(huì )把描述性的形容詞放到一段話(huà)中去描述名人或成功人士。讓語(yǔ)言與實(shí)際生活緊密的聯(lián)系在一起,這樣語(yǔ)言才真實(shí),才具有實(shí)際魅力。】
Step 3 Practice (10 minutes)
1.Now we are going to talk about some unusual people.
Look at these pictures in 1a and talk about these persons
T: Look these persons. Are they usual?
Ss: No, they are unusual.
T: Why? Now please write one or two words to describe the persons with the words given in 1a. (1 minute)
T: Who’s this/that?
S1: This is Arthur.
T: Do you admire him?
S1: Yes.
T: Why?
S1: I admire him because he is loving and kind. He is a loving grandfather. He always spends all his free time with his grandson. He is kind and he loves his grandson very much. So He is loving. ( help the student answer)
2. Repeat with other persons in the same way.
3. Imagine you know the persons in the pictures in 1a. Tell your partner about each person like this: (1b)
A: Sarah is a beautiful girl. She is a famous tennis player. She plays tennis very well. She is outstanding in tennis.
4. Get some individuals to report their answers to the class.
【設計說(shuō)明:本環(huán)節通過(guò)小組合作交流的方式,培養學(xué)生的合作精神和探究意識。在合作與溝通中讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì )使用這些描述性的形容詞,并能理解這些詞的真正含義。把詞放到句子中記憶,做到詞不離句。實(shí)現對詞的真正意義上的理解和把握。同時(shí),也為后面教學(xué)作好了鋪墊。】
Step 4 Production (12 minutes)
1. In our daily life ,there are lots of people that we admire .Next, We will hear a conversation .There are two people talking about people they admire, Please listen and circle the words in the list in 1a that you hear. Then answer the question “ Who are the two people the two persons are talking about?”
2. Check the answers with the class.
3. Listen the recording again and write “M” or “L” on the lines in 2b
4. Check the answers. Then listen again and let two students talk about Midori and Laura like this: Midori is a famous violinist. She was born in 1971. I saw her play when I was eight. She toured the U.S. when she was fourteen years old.
【設計說(shuō)明:通過(guò)反復的聽(tīng)力練習,提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力水平,注重跟讀模仿語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調。同時(shí)通過(guò)反復聽(tīng),讓學(xué)生撲捉錄音稿中的語(yǔ)言信息。讓學(xué)生帶著(zhù)思考、帶著(zhù)問(wèn)題聽(tīng),然后把撲捉的信息合理的組合成一段文字。為落實(shí)寫(xiě)的教學(xué)打下基礎。】
Step 5 Progress(5 minutes)
1.Ask the students to take out the photos about the famous people they have prepared and introduce them
2. Ask some students to report their answers to the class.
3. Sum-up : Think about what we have learned today
4. Write down a list of famous TV/ movie/... stars about their ages、 birthdays、,hobbies and achievements an4d then write a short passage about them.
5. Make a survey about famous people around you and learn more about them.
【設計說(shuō)明:這個(gè)環(huán)節檢查了學(xué)生對課堂任務(wù)掌握的情況,讓學(xué)生用自己準備的資料來(lái)介紹名人的職業(yè)生涯,增進(jìn)生生互動(dòng),用所學(xué)的語(yǔ)言去解決實(shí)際問(wèn)題,促進(jìn)了學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習,達到語(yǔ)言教學(xué)的真正目的。作業(yè)是課堂的鞏固與延伸,課堂所涉及的東西是有限的,學(xué)生課后可以做適當的拓展。學(xué)生通過(guò)查閱資料對優(yōu)秀人物有所了解,同時(shí)增長(cháng)他們的課后知識,使所學(xué)知識不斷地延伸。】
四、教后反思
本節課在多媒體的輔助下,直觀(guān)生動(dòng)地呈現給學(xué)生學(xué)習語(yǔ)言需要的材料,為學(xué)生搭建了一個(gè)很好的語(yǔ)言練習平臺。在導入環(huán)節中,通過(guò)唱英語(yǔ)歌曲和猜一猜,營(yíng)造了輕松愉快的氛圍,學(xué)生積極參與,作為教學(xué)前奏,為后面的學(xué)習作了很好的鋪墊。我們不難看出,在課堂教學(xué)中,如果教師設計了一個(gè)輕松愉快的接近生活的語(yǔ)言環(huán)境,創(chuàng )造一個(gè)學(xué)生沒(méi)有心理壓力,不受任何約束,又能充分展現自我的課堂氛圍,這就自然地使他們放松,激起他們開(kāi)口說(shuō)英語(yǔ)的欲望。通過(guò)多種形式的聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)語(yǔ)言實(shí)踐活動(dòng) 讓學(xué)生體味到了英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言的真正魅力所在。因此,有目的,有樂(lè )趣的課堂活動(dòng)不失為一種鼓勵學(xué)生大膽說(shuō)英語(yǔ)的好方法。施之以教,貴在引導”。教師通過(guò)自己的主導作用發(fā)揮學(xué)生的主體作用通過(guò)豐富多彩的任務(wù)情境調動(dòng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習積極性,主動(dòng)地投入學(xué)習。
