【基礎知識精講】

1.These pictures show what Bob did yesterday.這些圖片表明昨天鮑勃作了什么。

(1)show“顯示”、“表明”、“給…看”的意思。如:

①Let me show you the photo.我來(lái)把照片顯示給你們看。

②Li Hua will show you the way.李華會(huì )給你指路的。

(2)What Bob did yesterday是句中 show的賓語(yǔ)，顯然這是個(gè)賓語(yǔ)從句，what是該句的關(guān)系代詞，注意從句中仍然是陳述句語(yǔ)序。如:

①Can you tell me how I can get to the station？

你能告訴我怎樣才能到達車(chē)站嗎？

②He asked Jack what time he went to bed yesterday.

他問(wèn)杰克昨天幾點(diǎn)鐘睡覺(jué)。

(3)注意句中圖片顯示(說(shuō)明圖片)應用一般現在時(shí)態(tài)(show)，從句為過(guò)去時(shí)間發(fā)生事情當然用一般過(guò)去時(shí)(did)。

2.How much is the pork，please？請問(wèn)豬肉多少錢(qián)？

how much在此句中表示“多少錢(qián)”。 how much還可以修飾不可數名詞，意思是“多少”。如:

①How much water do you need？你們需要多少水？

②How much chicken is there？有多少雞肉？

3.But we need some more.可是我們需要些更多的。

類(lèi)似 some more的用法有:

(在聽(tīng)完某人的陳述后問(wèn))Any more？還有要說(shuō)的嗎？(回答可以說(shuō))No more.(沒(méi)有了)

4.It’ll be the year of the horse.(那將會(huì )是馬年)

5.Each of us will bring some food.我們每個(gè)人會(huì )帶來(lái)些食物。

(1)each作形容詞用時(shí)，與every的意義在表面上極相似，但在內涵上each著(zhù)重個(gè)別的情況如:

Each dog has a name.每一條狗有它自己的名字。

every則著(zhù)重全體的情況，用every一字不過(guò)表示其中沒(méi)有一個(gè)例外而已。

Every dog has a name.每一條狗(全部的狗)都有名字。

(2)each作代詞時(shí)，是單數。

Each of the three has a different teacher.三個(gè)人中各人有各人的教師。

6.I hear a bird sing.我聽(tīng)到一只鳥(niǎo)歌唱。

hear后接的不定式 sing省略了to。這類(lèi)用法請參見(jiàn)第 11單元［重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)解析3］

【重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)解析】

1.How often are you ill？你生病的情況怎么樣？(你多長(cháng)時(shí)間生一次病？)

How often是針對動(dòng)作的頻率、次數等的疑問(wèn)詞。其回答除次數外，還可以是 sometimes／usually／always／never等，例如:

①How often do you see a film？ Once a week.

你多久看一次電影？一周一次。

②How often are you late for school？Quite often.

你上學(xué)多久遲到一次？太頻繁了。(太多次了)。

2.I think we need to buy some meat for my birthday party.

我想我們需要為我的生日聚會(huì )買(mǎi)些肉。

(1)need作情態(tài)動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，后加動(dòng)詞原形，但多用于否定句和疑問(wèn)句中。例如:

She needn’t buy a new watch.她無(wú)需買(mǎi)新手表。

(2)need作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞，后加不定式，并隨人稱(chēng)，時(shí)態(tài)的改變而改變，此時(shí)，它可以用于各種句式中。上面兩句話(huà)可以說(shuō)成:

She doesn’t need to buy a new watch.

Do we need to do it again？

試比較:

You need take your coat with you.(錯誤)

You need to take your coat with you.(正確)

3.Help yourself to…隨便(吃)…

Help oneself(to…)是指待客人時(shí)常用的一句客套話(huà)。介詞 to后接名詞或代詞，意為:“別客氣”、“請隨便吃”、“請自便”。如:

①Help yourselves to some fish.請吃些魚(yú)。

②Please help yourselves to the apples on the table.桌上的蘋(píng)果請隨便吃。

4.How is everything going？一切進(jìn)行得怎樣？

(1)everything，不定代詞，應理解為單數。every，some, any, no和body，one，thing構成合成代詞，這類(lèi)不定代詞作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)應用單數形式。如:

①I(mǎi)s everyone here today？今天大家都在這里嗎(到齊了嗎)？

②There is something strange in the sky.天空中有些奇怪的東西。

(2)go此處指事情的進(jìn)展。類(lèi)似用法如:

①Ready？Go！準備好了嗎？開(kāi)始！

②I can’t make it any better，so let it go.我不能改善它，所以讓它保持現狀。

1.長(cháng)大，grow up，時(shí)態(tài)一般現在時(shí)，故不變。

2.出去，go out，不定式后接動(dòng)詞原形，故不變。

3.翻了，turn over，時(shí)態(tài)為一般過(guò)去時(shí)，則應為 turned over.

4.一直，副詞短語(yǔ)，all the time.

5.上上下下，介詞短語(yǔ)，up and down

6.繼續，go on，時(shí)態(tài)為一般過(guò)去時(shí)，應用:went on.

7.同意某人agree with sb時(shí)態(tài)為一般過(guò)去時(shí)，故應為:agreed with.
