Unit 2 What’s this in English?
一) 教學(xué)內容
本單元是圍繞如何識別事物這一話(huà)題展開(kāi)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、
寫(xiě)等多種教學(xué)活動(dòng)。要求學(xué)生通過(guò)識別事物學(xué)會(huì )如何用英語(yǔ)拼讀單詞及字母I-R。識別事物這一話(huà)題是英語(yǔ)初學(xué)者必須要掌握的內容之一,是學(xué)生日常生活中必不可少的日常交際用語(yǔ),來(lái)源于學(xué)生生活實(shí)際的教學(xué)主題。通過(guò)學(xué)習字母、日常生活中有關(guān)家居的單詞,培養學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)思維能力,以及對事物的辨別能力。
二) 教學(xué)目標
1) 知識目標:A.學(xué)習并掌握字母I-R;
B.掌握一些學(xué)習用品的單詞;
C.學(xué)習如何識別事物。
2)能力目標:A.學(xué)會(huì )在單詞中識別所學(xué)字母;
B.學(xué)會(huì )詢(xún)問(wèn)和識別周?chē)挛锏拿Q(chēng);
C.學(xué)會(huì )用簡(jiǎn)單的日常用語(yǔ)與人交流。
3)情感目標:通過(guò)完成各種教學(xué)任務(wù),培養學(xué)生對事物的辨別能力。
三)教學(xué)重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn):
重點(diǎn):A.學(xué)會(huì )并掌握字母I-R及map、orange、jacket、key、pen、ruler等單詞。
B.學(xué)習并掌握What引導的特殊疑問(wèn)句。
難點(diǎn):靈活運用所學(xué)的字母,在識別事物的過(guò)程中培養學(xué)生的辨別能力。
四)教時(shí)安排
第一課時(shí):Letters(Ii-Rr)
第二課時(shí):What’s this in English?
第三課時(shí):Section B; Self-check.
Period One
課前準備
教師:準備字母卡片、圖片。
學(xué)生:圖畫(huà)紙。
Step One: Revision
1.Revice the letters (Aa-Hh).
2.Revice the dialogues: “Good morning/ afternoon/evening.”
“Good morning/ afternoon/evening.” “How are you?” “I am fine. Thanks.”
Step Two: New letters
Present the new letters (Ii-Rr)
1. How to pronounce the letters.
2. How to write the letters.
3. What are the neighbour letters.
This part can according to the book.
Step Three: Drill
1. Listen to the recording of letters and circle the letters you hear.(Book Page 11 3a)
2. Complete the missing letters. (Book Page 11 3b)
Step Four: Task
Discuss the pictures on Page 8 3.

Step One: Revision
Revice the letters(Aa-Rr).With the cards.
Step Two: New words
1.Show the students a picture of Alice’s room with the things around us.(Book Page 7 1b). Teach the nouns: a pen/ruler/key/quilt/map; an orange.
2.Book Page 9 4a. Play the recording of 4a in Section A twice and complete the words.
Step Three:Drill
1. Present the drill: What’s this in English? It’s a/an …
2. Practice this drill with the school things in pairs.
3. Practice this drill in groups.
Step Four:Task
Let students draw a picture with some things in their own rooms, and then give a report to the whole class.
Homework:
Discribe the things in your classroom or in your bedroom.

課前準備:

Step One:Revision
1. Revice the letters (Aa-Rr) with the cards.
2. Revice the dialogue with the picture. “What’s this in English? It’s a/an…”
Step Two:New target language
1.Present the new dialogues with the students’ homework. Then present “Can you spell it, please? Yes, it is …”
2.Practice the similar dialogues in pairs.
Step Three:Drill
1. Book Page 10 2a. Students say out the things in the picture, and then check the answers.
2. Book Page 11 4. Present the pronounciation for the vowel sounds they have learned so far.
3. Practice the vowels, according to the book on Page 11.
Homework:
Try to describe the things in your room, and spell them out.
