學(xué)生用書(shū)第31頁(yè)第2部分。通過(guò)這一段,看學(xué)生是否能猜出動(dòng)詞own的意思。然后學(xué)生以小組為單位進(jìn)行問(wèn)答練習。讓他們比較各自的答案,然后叫個(gè)別學(xué)生向全班做匯報。

步驟5 練習冊

托瑪斯愛(ài)迪生于1847年2月11日出生在俄亥俄州米蘭市。在他剛剛會(huì )說(shuō)話(huà)不久,他就開(kāi)始問(wèn)每一個(gè)他認識的人有關(guān)事情來(lái)龍去脈的問(wèn)題。當愛(ài)迪生長(cháng)大些了以后,他喜歡讀書(shū)。不久家里就沒(méi)有什麼再讓他讀的了。于是他的父親介紹他去圖書(shū)館。愛(ài)迪生從書(shū)架底層的最后一本書(shū)開(kāi)始,瀏覽或認真讀圖書(shū)館里的每一本書(shū)。愛(ài)迪生通過(guò)自己的全部閱讀得出結論:人不應將自己的信仰建筑在別人寫(xiě)的東西上,要親自證明事物的真相。因而他接受了這樣的觀(guān)點(diǎn):獨創(chuàng )的想法是最好的。他的許多發(fā)明包括燈泡、留聲機、錄音電話(huà)機、蠟紙油印機和最早的無(wú)聲電影。他于1931年10月18日逝世于新澤西州,享年84歲。

要求學(xué)生猜測生詞和表達法的含義:inventor, try out, pupil, build, at the age of, track, frighten, rush, rush out, safety, telegraph, open up, lifetime.

try out=to try something to see if it works

Thomas Edison once said that to be an inventor there are some things you have to do. First, you have to make a good plan. Second, you have to make sure that there is a need for your invention. He also said you need to make a survey. You have to study about your idea for your invention and see if anyone else has the dame idea as you. Then you need to work hard and never give up. Don’t worry if you fail. Each failure brings you much closer to the right answer. Sooner or later You will make your invention work.

學(xué)生用書(shū)第35頁(yè)第4部分*。給全班朗讀這首小詩(shī)。然后學(xué)生向自己的同學(xué)朗讀這首小詩(shī),練習他們的語(yǔ)調。復習所有不熟悉的詞。再看看哪個(gè)學(xué)生能不看書(shū)說(shuō)出這首小詩(shī)。無(wú)論如何要確認他們帶著(zhù)感情朗讀小詩(shī),而不是不明白意思的背誦。
