　　用于引導讓步狀語(yǔ)從句：

　　Whatever we said, he'd disagree. 無(wú)論我們說(shuō)什么，他都不同意。

　　Whatever happened I must be calm. 不管發(fā)生什么情況我都要鎮靜。

　　Don’t lose heart whatever difficulties you meet. 不管遇到什么困難都不要灰心。

　　whatever還可用于加強語(yǔ)氣，相當于what ever, what on earth等。如：

　　Whatever is the matter? 這是怎么回事?

　　Whatever does he mean? 他到底是什么意思?

　　Whatever從句有時(shí)可以省略。如：

　　Whatever your argument, I shall hold to my decision. 不管你怎樣爭辯，我還是堅持自己的決定。
