Taiwanlies off the east coast of Fujian Province. It’s an island surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, and the East China Sea to the north.

Its products like banana, rice and tea are well-known all over the world. It has a good environment and mild climate. Thousands of people like to come here for traveling.
Taiwan is part of China. Most of people settling there come from Fujian and Guangdong. We Chinese all hope that Taiwan can return to the embrace of the motherland at an early date.

Taiwan is part of our country. It is the largest island in China. It has an area of about 36,000 square kilometers and a population of over 20 million. It is separated from the mainland by the Taiwan Strait. On the island the climate is mild and the resources are very rich.
Many, many centuries ago there were the Chinese who lived and worked in Taiwan. In the 17th ccntury the Dutch invaded Taiwan. In 1661 an army under Zheng Chenggong drove out the Dutch.
